HOHOLALA GUIDE
A practical explanation of AI visibility, how it differs from traditional search visibility, and what businesses can evaluate.
AI visibility describes how clearly a person, company, product or body of expertise can be discovered, understood and represented by AI-assisted discovery systems. It is broader than whether a web page ranks for a keyword.
Traditional SEO often focuses on crawlability, relevance, links and search-result rankings. AI-assisted discovery can also depend on whether systems can connect an entity to consistent facts, topics, evidence and credible sources. Strong SEO can help, but the two concepts are not identical.
Start with entity consistency: name, role, organization, expertise and core claims should not conflict across authoritative profiles. Then inspect topic coverage, evidence, citations, third-party references and whether important expertise is expressed in clear language that machines and people can interpret.
No audit can guarantee inclusion in an AI answer. Models, retrieval systems, indexes and interfaces change. Treat visibility work as an evidence-led process: establish a baseline, improve clear gaps, retest and document what changes.
