For visibility analysis, a citation gap is an important claim or area of expertise that lacks strong, accessible supporting evidence. It does not mean every sentence needs a formal academic citation.
Write down the claims a prospective buyer should be able to verify: specialization, experience, methods, notable work, publications, credentials and outcomes that can be responsibly disclosed.
For each claim, identify first-party evidence and independent evidence. First-party sources can establish what you say about yourself; credible third-party sources can add corroboration and context.
Focus on commercially important claims with weak or inaccessible evidence. The remedy may be clearer first-party documentation, an authoritative profile update, a useful original publication, or legitimate third-party coverage earned through real work—not manufactured citations.
